Marcus King

Marcus King is a guitarist, singer and songwriter whose music draws from Southern rock, blues, soul and country.

Marcus did not come alone. He came out with the whole band, and his father, Marvin, came too.

For his portrait, Marcus pulled a cheap parlor guitar off the wall and said, “This fits the vibe.” That is the guitar he is holding in the plate.

We also went outside and made a plate of the full band, and before the day was over I made one of Marcus and his father together.
